We are looking a highly motivated individual to work as part of a small team of transport safety professionals. The position broadly involves the application of engineering science to the investigation and analysis of transport safety occurrences.

About the Position
The Rail / Marine Recorders Analyst will provide comprehensive technical support to the rail and marine investigation teams, by assisting in the recovery, analysis and presentation of recorded data from rail / marine transport vehicles and support infrastructure.
The candidates should have an ongoing interest in the rail / marine transport fields and an awareness of current safety issues affecting those industries. An applied science or engineering qualification in the rail / marine fields, or digital electronics, electrical systems, computer systems or a related field is also required, along with experience in the use of computer-based techniques for the analysis, interpretation and presentation of engineering data. The candidate should have well-formed analytical, research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to produce comprehensive and well written technical reports.
