The warning from the ReCAAP Information Sharing Centre in Singapore follows the fourth attack this year on a vessel anchored in the area.
At about 0345 on 15 August 2009 the Kirana Kritya was board from starboard by three armed men from a small fast wooden boat. They were spotted and the ship’s 22-strong crew mustered at the bridge. All three robbers fled without causing injury, loss or damage.
