TBILISI. Aug 17 (Interfax) – Georgian coastguards stopped the Panamanian-flagged tanker Buket on Monday. The captain of the ship “has been accused of repeatedly violating the Georgian state border and rules of navigation in the occupied territory,” the Georgian Interior Ministry’s border police reported. The Buket was on its way to Abkhazia from Turkey, and it was carrying an illicit cargo of 2,000 tonnes of gasoline and 700 tonnes of diesel fuel, according to the Georgian Interior Ministry. Thirteen of the 17-member crew are Turks and four Azeris.
