In the evening of Apr 13, 2010, the "Kruckau" was arrested by the police Luebeck and had to anchor off Travemuende as the captain was found to be intoxicated. The Russian man disputed with the captain about the ship’s guidance. It had departed from the CTL at Lübeck Siems bound for Kolding with a cargo of wood, and the captain ignored the pilot’s advice on the Trave. The man was drug-tested and found to be intoxicated with 2,29 promille. He had to pay a safety fine of 600 Euro.

On Apr 12, 2010, the “Malavika", which had been anchored for over a week to unload coal from Indonesia, was hit by a barge which had lost control due to rough weather at Gopalbur and suffered a crack in a fuel tank. Parts of the Ganjam coast in Orissa were polluted with oil spilling out of the crack before all was cleared from the surface. The engineers immediately made efforts to transfer the oil from the damaged tank to restrict spillage. But by that time around 7,000 litres had already poured into the sea.

The "Harmonia" was in danger of running aground in the Køge Bight on Apr 13, 2010. The ship had come off course in the Øresund while sailing from Riga to Hull in the northern Køge Bight. Attempts of the Søværnets Operative Kommando as well as Lyngby Radio and the m/v "Fyrholm" to get in contact to the vessel failed for some time. Police and a pilot boat from Dragør rushed towards the vessel and found the captain intoxcated. The coaster was brought to a standstill and then anchored in the Køge Bight. The captain was taken to shore for drug testing by the Copenhagen police.
